Community members passing by couldn’t resist stopping to play one of our iconic childhood games — Tall Tie, also known as Tetherball. Before long, both the ladies and the youth joined in on the fun, bringing laughter and excitement to the park. Even though Arsenal lost that day, we still had an amazing time together!

Many participants shared how the game brought back fond memories of Camp Lawana in Liberia. Moments like these remind us what togetherness is all about — community, joy, and connection. It was wonderful seeing people gather, cheer, laugh, and even realize just how physical and competitive this simple game can be. Many stood by watching, smiling, and reminiscing as the action unfolded.

This is the spirit we hope to see more of: people coming together, enjoying each other’s company, and creating lasting memories. One community. One family. One unforgettable day of fun. TUSI!

The LIBAC Elections Commission introduced a new voting procedure, transitioning from the organization’s traditional voting method to a modern digital voting system. During the General Assembly, the Elections Commission delivered a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation to educate Liberians residing in the Greater Charlotte area on how the new process will work.

To ensure transparency and understanding, a live demonstration was conducted at the conclusion of the presentation, with representatives from all stakeholder groups actively participating in a mock voting session to showcase each step of the process.

The demonstration included two representatives from the Board, two representatives from each campaign team, and two members of the General Assembly. The new digital voting platform offers several modern features, including real-time vote tracking and live election results.

Team TUSI expressed strong support for the initiative, applauding the Elections Commission for embracing innovation and moving the organization toward a more efficient and technologically advanced future.

The Commission also emphasized the importance of data privacy and security, addressing concerns related to election integrity and fraud prevention while assuring members that safeguards have been implemented to protect the voting process.
